The High Commission
The establishment of The Gambia High Commission in New Delhi marks a significant milestone in the diplomatic relations between The Gambia and India. They established diplomatic relations in 1965 and The Gambia’s resident High Commission in New Delhi was formally inaugurated in February 2009. The High Commission serves as the primary diplomatic representation of The Gambia in India and is accredited to Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Over the years, bilateral relations have flourished, encompassing various sectors such as trade, education, culture, and diplomacy.
As The Gambia continues to make strides in its development journey, the High Commission remains committed to advancing the interests of The Gambian community in India and the accredited nations; providing consular services, promoting investment opportunities, and strengthening cultural and educational ties.
